THE LIE WE TELL OURSELVES

What ideas about "success" did you grow up with?

 

The lie we tell ourselves:  how we’re doing in life is determined by how we’re doing with our education, career, relationships, appearance, religion, etc...

 

That our worth can be put on a checklist, observed, and measured.

 

But living a BOLD TRUE LIFE means that you are not held hostage by this definition of success.

How you’re doing in life is actually determined by your inner reality.

 

Your thoughts, emotions, and beliefs DEEPLY affect how you act.

 

Your fears and limiting beliefs will determine how you show up in every facet of your life unless you cultivate the awareness and tools to overcome them.

 

If you focus on changing from the inside out, then it doesn’t matter how far away you are from your version of success! 

What matters is your capacity to make real and lasting change.

The Hard Part

Sometimes all we know is that something is off. We don’t feel right and we need a change.

Other times we know exactly what we need to change but we get stuck!

We’re surrounded by the same old triggers that cue us for the same old behavior.

The reality is that it’s hard to break the cycles we find ourselves in.

  1. Trying something new brings uncertainty and it's scary wandering into unknown territory. 
  2. The more you care about something, the more uncomfortable you are with failing or being imperfect - so you play it safe.
  3. Self-doubt is sometimes hard to drown out.
  4. Other people’s judgements can be stifling and affect your own perceptions.
  5. Change can be messy. And who wants a slice of hot mess?
  6. Even when you overcome all of the above, its so hard to stay motivated and be consistent.
  7. The inevitable “fall off-track” moments make you feel deflated and it’s too hard to get back on track over and over.
  8. Rejection from your loved ones can feel debilitating.

WHAT IS PRACTICING

CONCIOUSNESS?

To us, it’s a form of self awareness.

It’s shifting your attention from your circumstances to yourself.

Consciousness is about observing yourself like you’re Switzerland - the neutral party.

It's noticing your thoughts, instincts, feelings, and yes, the conversations you’re having in your head.

Having an understanding of your internal terrain without judgement transforms you.

You become aware of your thoughts without overthinking.  You feel your emotions without letting them define you. And that empowers you to respond to situations instead of reacting to them.

WHAT IS PRACTICING

COURAGE?

Our understanding of courage may surprise you. It’s intricately linked to truth and authenticity.

It’s a process of shedding your masks. And it calls you to:

  • Uncover, face, and share your truths.
  • Live your purpose instead of living on autopilot.
  • Identify and honor your core values.

Here's the catch though:

Every act of courage is an act of exposure, vulnerability, and uncertainty.

That’s the only currency courage accepts of us.

Thankfully, it doesn’t require us to make huge leaps.  It actually, more often than not, takes place in everyday small moments.

WHAT IS PRACTICING

RESIILIENCE?

If you choose to practice courage,  you will inevitably feel the sting of falling, failure, and/or heartbreak.

Resilience is the process of getting back up.

It’s the bright side of stubborn.

At the heart of it, it’s embracing the idea that our pain can be the bridge to our healing. And the catalyst for our growth.
