Let’s go Back Home

I am worthy, willing, and able to rest and nourish my body.

How is your body feeling today?

This past Spring, I found myself feeling severely burnt out. Even though it took months for me to reach this level of exhaustion, it wasn’t until I hit a breaking point that I finally gave myself permission to prioritize rest. And it took so much convincing along the way. My husband, my coach, and my sister were all giving me the same advice. I needed to focus on taking care of my body. Yet for some reason, I couldn’t give myself a break until I realized that I couldn’t keep going.

Rest and nourishment had to become my priorities. And when I accepted this, I was able to start getting creative about what that looked like. Some days, it’s taking a nap while the baby does. But most days, it’s doing a quick check-in and seeing what my body would like at that given moment. Maybe it’s as simple as sitting down rather than standing. Or perhaps it’s drinking some water. It could even be a few deep breaths. I’m starting to realize there are so many options even on busier days. It just requires some consciousness and intention on my part.

So I’ll leave you with this final question – what would your body like right now?

Peace and blessings,

Hanaa

P.S. – Do you consider yourself a sensitive soul? Are there any situations that often make you feel overwhelmed by your emotions? Or any experiences that keep you feeling stuck in some part of your life?
