I release myself from the pressure of doing it all.
Life often feels like such a huge rush. And as a busy new mom, this feeling has intensified for me in some regards. But over this past year, I’ve noticed that my best days are always the ones when I rush less and focus more on what’s most important to me at the moment. Whether it’s tending to my baby, myself, my home, or my business – it only feels good if I focus on doing what I actually can rather than rushing or forcing things to happen.
Letting go of the pressure to do it all is a daily (hourly) practice for me. It’s something I consciously have to release myself from over and over again. Because it doesn’t quite feel natural yet. But just becoming more aware of this pressure when it shows up gives me the chance to let it. And it’s also helped me learn how to soothe myself in those moments when I’m spinning in a million directions and getting frustrated or stressed out.
Every day and situation is a little different. But giving myself permission not to get swallowed up in the pressure has been very helpful and freeing. So I’m passing this permission on to you too. What’s one source of pressure that you can release yourself from this week?
Peace and blessings,
Hanaa
