Worrying isn’t going to solve my problem. But tuning in to what’s making me worry can help.
I tend to be a worrier. And if there’s one thing I’ve noticed over the years – it’s that once I start worrying about something, it’s very hard to stop. I think most of us that get caught in this spiral often fall into it because we think it’s going to help us in some way. Perhaps to be better prepared or avoid getting caught off guard.
But it’s not actually worrying itself that helps us. It’s figuring out the root cause of the worry and addressing it accordingly. There probably won’t be a simple or perfect solution. But just recognizing the underlying issue is a big step. And once you start addressing the root cause, you can give yourself permission to stop worrying so much about it.
Peace and blessings,
